Emotional Disturbance Eligibility: Breaking it Down

8:30-11:30 (3 CEU Hours)

This workshop will identify the specific challenges of determining the eligibility of the emotionally disturbed child that can result in misidentification.  The controversy of this eligbility with specific emphasis on delineating between social maladjustment, conduct disorder and emotional disturbance will be discussed.  In addition, Dr. Morrison will discuss the integration of various assessment methods that would support eligibility.

Dr. Kelly Kennedy:

Strategies for Supporting LGBTQ Youth in Schools

12:30-3:00 (2.5 CEU Hours)

This workshop will cover a range of topics related to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questionning (LGBTQ) students in school settings.  Dr. Kennedy will cover risk and protective factors. legal isses, strategies for assessing and improving positive school climates for LGBTQ youth, counseling strategies for working directly with LGBTQ youth and parents, and identifying community-based resources.   

Full Day: $45 Non-Members ~ $30 Members ~ $15 Student Members

Half Day Workshop Each: $30 Non-Members ~ $20 Members ~ $15 Student Members

BBS CEU Hours: incur an additional $10 processing fee per workshop to CASP
